New plans have been submitted for a secure field at Dores, by Loch Ness, where dog owners could safely let their beloved pets off the lead.
We asked members of the public what they thought of the plans.
“I have a dog and she doesn’t get on with other dogs so this would be ideal for me.”
Rachel Christie, 29, full-time mum from Dalneigh
“I think it’s a good idea. There are plenty of places to go nice dog walks. I would use it. I am always looking for good places to take Sally her off her lead and let her have a good run around.”
Melanie MacDonald, 23, nurse from Inverness
“It’s a good idea. My mum has a dog but she doesn’t feel confident letting her off her lead. Somewhere like that would be good for her.”
Veronica Lauder, 48, butcher from Hilton
“We need more places for dogs; there is a lot of dog mess on the streets. I am all for keeping the streets clean so this will be a good to have somewhere special for dogs to run about.”
Liam MacKenzie, 24, full-time dad from Merkinch
