RBS has reversed a decision to close four bank branches in the north of Scotland.
Branches in Beauly, Castlebay on Barra, Kyle and Tongue will now stay open until at least the end of the year.
The use of these branches will be reviewed between now and then.
There are six other branches in Scotland, 10 in total, that have been spared until the end of 2018, including Biggar, Comrie, Douglas, Gretna, Inveraray and Melrose.
RBS announced its plans to close 62 branches in Scotland, including several in remote communities, last year.
Ross, Skye and Lochaber MP Ian Blackford said he was delighted by the announcement.
