A man is being treated for a head injury in hospital following a one-car crash in Sutherland.
The incident, involving a black VW Golf, took place on Manse Road, Kinlochbervie on the north-west coast.
The collision, where the vehicle veered down an embankment, happened at about 7.30pm.
Police, fire and ambulance were all called to the scene.
Due to the location a coastguard search and rescue helicopter was initially enlisted to help take the man to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness but he was later taken by ambulance.
Police confirmed that he had sustained non-life threatening injuries.
