A 37-year-old man has been charged after police recovered drugs worth approximately £24,000 in Thurso.
The recovery was made after a vehicle was stopped in the town by officers from the local policing team yesterday.
A sum of cash worth around £6,000 was also recovered.
The man charged in connection with the recovery and will appear at Wick Sheriff Court in due course.
Inspector Marlene MacDonald said: “Our communities in Caithness and across the Highlands have made it very clear that they will not tolerate the use or trade in illegal drugs.
“As a force we will act on any information from the public which can help us remove more drugs from our streets.”
