Are you having as much fun in the snow today as this polar bear in the Highlands?
Visitors to the Highland Wildlife Park have been enjoying a range of activities today to mark International Polar Bear Day.
Luckily for the bears, the huge amount of snowfall brought on by the Beast from the East has helped them feel right at home.
The park, near Kincraig, is home to Scotland’s only polar bears, males Walker and Arktos and female Victoria, and last December welcomed the first cub to be born in the UK for 25 years.
The new arrival is keeping everyone guessing however as he or she is yet to emerge from mum Victoria’s den.
Daska Mackintosh, head of operations and visitor services at the wildlife park, said: “With all the recent excitement about our polar bear cub birth, we decided to extend International Polar Bear Day this year.
“Our visitors will have lots to see and do, including our polar bear quiz, watching our male polar bears Walker and Arktos feeding in their large enclosure, meeting our polar bear mascot, getting hands on with skulls and learning more about this amazing species, why it is endangered and what they can do to help.
If that beautiful bear instinctively enjoying itself in the snow isn’t up your street, how about these polar pals opening presents to celebrate a recent birthday?
