The brother of missing Inverness man Liam Colgan has spoken of his gratitude for the public’s continued support as he prepares to return to Hamburg one month on from his disappearance.
Eamonn Colgan will fly out to Germany again on Monday to meet police in the hope of fresh leads surrounding the whereabouts of his brother.
He said: “One of the things we are trying to push in Germany is that people use their phones at sightings and take a photo of him so we can positively identify him.
“I think the main thing for me is trying to keep everyone as positive as I am. We need people to help us in any way they can by sharing the news stories and the sightings so that we can bring him home safe and well so I can have him as my best man at my wedding.”
Liam vanished during the stag party he had arranged for his brother, who cancelled his wedding last week as the search continues.
As venues get set to take part in the ‘One for Liam’ campaign, Mr Colgan spoke thanks those who have supported his family in the last month.
He added: “Since the very beginning the close friends on the stag do started the movement by setting up the Facebook page and getting in touch with the media. We would not have had the exposure we have had and the support from everyone has been incredible.
“It’s overwhelming the amount of support we have got from the public and the community as well. It’s an incredible gesture.”
Liam disappeared in Hamburg after separating from the stag party exactly four weeks ago.
