The walker was treated at scene by his fellow walking companion, who is a qualified doctor, before calling for the aid of the Mountain Rescue Team. The incident, which occurred around 2.30pm, was attended by the HM Coastguard and Inverness Coastguard Helicopter 951. The casualty was airlifted to an awaiting ambulance before being transferred to hospital. His condition is unknown.
