Police Scotland have confirmed that a man has been reported in connection with a series of crimes of dishonesty in the Highlands last year.
The 43-year-old man from the County Durham area has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with 39 crimes and offences involving 31 different locations over a large geographical area.
The incidents involved numerous thefts, including housebreakings, theft of vehicles and vandalism to properties.
The incidents happened in the Ross-shire and Sutherland areas during the summer months of 2017.
Detective Inspector Scott Macdonald said: “This was a complex investigation due to the geography covered and the volume of incidents which have ultimately made up this report.
“We are grateful to the many members of the public who have provided information which has been of assistance during our enquiries.
“Acquisitive crime and crimes of dishonesty are a priority for Police Scotland and I would encourage anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of crime or is concerned about suspicious behaviour to report this to us at the time.”
