Fishing boat Nancy Glen sank in Loch Fyne, Argyll.
Debris has been cleared from a sunken fishing boat in preparation for an attempt to lift the vessel.
It is hoped that the bodies of missing fishermen Duncan MacDougall and Przemek Krawczyk can be recovered when the Nancy Glen is brought to the surface.
The prawn trawler is currently sitting at a depth of more than 460ft in Loch Fyne, Argyll. It sank near Barmore Island, Tarbert, in January. The Scottish Government is working with salvage specialists to recover the Nancy Glen.
A government spokeswoman said: “We are confident that all of the debris has now been cleared around the site of Nancy Glen and a formal underwater visual survey will confirm this.
“Work to mobilise a barge with lifting equipment at the site will take place over the next few days and we hope to commence further preparatory work this week before any lifting begins at the site.
“This continues to be a complex task with a number of technical challenges, meaning there is no guarantee of success. We are in close contact with the families and are keeping them updated as the recovery progresses.”
