Scotland’s newest polar bear cub has been splashing around in its new paddling pool.
The young cub is having great fun investigating some of the new features outside of the den.
Keepers at the Highland Wildlife Park placed a paddling pool near the den to help the new arrival get familiar and more confident with water, preparing the cub for venturing near the main pool in the outdoor enclosure.
A spokeswoman said: “Victoria and her cub are spending a lot of time in and around the den with short spells in their outdoor enclosure.
“Not that the cub is showing any signs of the pressure as it plays with perfect mother Victoria.
At just three months old the cub already the cub has a lot on its shoulders helping sustain numbers in captivity for years to come. It has not been named yet as no-one has been close enough to establish its gender.
