Locals in the Nethy Bridge area were entertained to the inaugural Abirneithi Sinfonia performance in aid of local charity Dachaidh this week.
The free to attend event derives its name from the original name of Nethy Bridge dating back to 1461 ‘Abirneithi’, combined with the Italian word for symphony, ‘Sinfonia’ which is better used to describe a small chamber orchestra.
Award winning Edinburgh based composer Michael Graham conducted his 46 strong orchestra through an evening of classical compositions from the likes of Strauss, Morricone and Beethoven.
Attendees were asked to provide an exit donation towards the Dachaidh charity that provides reliable, flexible and friendly support and care to vulnerable members of the local community.
