Skiers flocked to the slopes across the north of Scotland yesterday as overnight snowfall and blue skies made for the perfect conditions.
Scores of skiers raved about the weather on social media pages for Nevis Range, Glencoe, Cairngorm, Lecht and Glenshee resorts, as stunning pictures were posted and shared throughout the morning and afternoon.
Cairngorm Mountain Ltd posted on Facebook that more than 2,500 people took to the mountain yesterday, adding: “Wow, what a day, what a turn out. Hope you all had a great day with this amazing weather.”
For some at Cairngorm, the huge turnout also made for lengthy waits for ski hire. One woman, Lydia Fiddes, wrote on their Facebook page: “Arrived early, waited over two hours to have boots fitted, still in the queue for ski hire.”
