Olympic silver medalist Polly Swann will officially open Aldi’s new Fort William store next week.
The first 30 shoppers to arrive on April 12 will each receive a bag full of fruit and vegetables.
Polly, who marked her Olympic debut by winning silver with the women’s eight in Rio, said: “I can’t wait to open the new store and welcome excited local shoppers.
“Aldi has been a great support to Team GB for over five years now, so it’s great that I can help give back to the communities its stores are part of.”
The new store will be located in the town’s North Road.
A total of 18 jobs have been created with the launch of the Fort William store.
Store Manager Arnas Lukosevicius added: “We’re thrilled that Polly will be joining us to welcome local shoppers to the new store. We’ve got some fantastic opening week offers so we look forward to opening our doors to everyone on 12th April.”
Aldi is the UK’s fifth largest and fastest growing supermarket with over 750 stores and over 30,000 employees.
