Firefighters have been battling a blaze at a house in Invergordon this morning.
Crews were called to a mid-terraced property in Munro Crescent at 5.20am.
A fire service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to a well-developed ground-floor dwelling fire. Everyone was out before they arrived but a number of pets are affected.”
A further update from the fire service clarified that all members of the household and the pets were accounted for safely. Vets were sent to the scene to check on the animals.
The flames have been extinguished but firefighters remain on the scene.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said:
“We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations team to the scene.
“No one required transport to hospital.”
