An air ambulance has been dispatched to assist an injured woman this evening following a serious crash on a busy Highland road.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on the A835 Maryburgh to Contin road, about half a mile east of the Moy Bridge just after 8pm.
The fire service arrived at the scene of the three-vehicle smash at around 8.25pm, however their services were not required and nobody was cut free from any of the vehicles.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to assist an injured woman, and the road is currently closed.
A police spokesman said a diversion has been put in place through Strathpeffer.
Last night, the extent of the woman’s injuries remained unknown.
