A Highland man has been honoured at the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Scotland with the Open Award.
Each year one person is selected to receive the award and this year Angus Macleod MBE from Inverness and the Isle of Harris won.
He along with his wife travelled to Glasgow to get the honour from Ron Sutherland, CIOB Scotland Hub Chairman.
Mr Macleod was Head of the School of Construction and Forestry at Inverness College UHI before he retired.
He was also a founder member of the Highlands and Islands Chartered Institute of Building and has worked on the committee since 1976.
Mr Macleod also represents CIOB on various committees including the Continuing Professional Development Committee and the Highlands and Islands Traditional Buildings Forum.
In 2014 he became the first recipient of the Excellence Award at the Highland Construction and Property Dinner in Inverness.
He was given MBE in 2005 for services to Education in Scotland after 40 years working to make UHI’s School of Construction and Forestry one of the most influential in Scotland.
