Police in Lochaber will be supporting the annual Scottish Six Day Trial when the event begins on Friday.
The motorcycle event will commence with a two day prelude for vintage vehicles in the Kinlochleven area on Friday and Saturday before the main Trials begin from Monday until the following Saturday (May 12) around Fort William.
Inspector Isla Campbell: “We’re pleased to be supporting the Six Days Trial which has been an attraction in the Lochaber area for more than a century now.
“I would ask local residents to be aware of the event and anticipate that the roads may be busier than normal.
“We will have officers on duty on the A82 and roads around the Trials stages to make sure the traffic flows freely but I would ask people to be patient if any disruption does occur.
“I would also ask any spectators attending the stages to make sure they are parked in a safe area which is not going to cause any obstruction to other road users.
“Anyone seeking more information is advised to check the event website at www.ssdt.org.”
