The main road in Dalwhinnie is to be closed on Monday night as investigation works take place on the Rail Bridge.
The A889 Dalwhinnie road will be closed overnight from 8pm until 6pm as teams carry out investigation works to collect technical information to enhance future projects.
A diversion will be put in place towards Newtonmore and Laggan on the A86, with emergency service able to pass through the works at all times.
The works as being undertaken by Bear Scotland ahead ahead of the designing plans for future work on the bridge, which carries the A889 over the railway line located just beyond the Dalwhinnie Distillery.
Commenting on the project, Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This project will allow us to carry out some essential investigations on Dalwhinnie Rail Bridge so we can gather the correct technical information to able us to design future schemes for the structure.
“We’ve arranged for the investigations to take place overnight to minimise disruption to road users, and our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
