The Highland capital’s annual classic car event celebrated its tenth anniversary at the weekend and it has been hailed a roaring success by organisers.
The Classic Vehicle Show marked the milestone in style as it took over the centre of Inverness.
More than 200 vintage vehicles were on show, with hundreds of visitors taking a close look at coaches, tractors, vans, cars and army vehicles.
In fact, they were difficult to miss as the attractions took centre stage on the High Street, Falcon Square, Inglis Street, Eastgate Precinct, Church Street and Lombard Street.
Almost a full quarter of the classic vehicles were gathered in the shadow of Inverness Castle, among them a number of impressive old coaches in a range of liveries.
Tractors were the main draw on Church Street.
The event is organised by Inverness Bid and has enjoyed considerable annual success since it was launched.
Bid Manager Mike Smith said the event was the “most successful” yet and vowed the event would be back next year even bigger and better.
He said: “We had fabulous weather for a fabulous event. It was the most successful yet. The streets were heaving with people. It was a really great success.
“Visitors from all over the place came, with a number from Aberdeen and at least one from Dundee.
“It was mainly independent car owners that took part, but there were also two or three car clubs who joined us on the day.”
“How we’ll achieve it I don’t know but we’ll now be working hard to ensure next year is even bigger and better.”
