Police are continuing inquiries after the accident on the B8004 at Banavie at 1.25pm yesterday. The injured man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow following the incident. The road was closed for several hours to allow investigations to be carried out at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and the man was involved in a planned tour event with other cyclists. Sergeant Ewan Calder said: “We’re grateful to the public for their patience while the road was closed to allow our investigation to take place. “Our einquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to call 101.”
