A man has died after falling 100 ft from a cliff on the Isle of Skye today.
He was reported just before noon at the bottom of a cliff at Loch Scavaig.
Portree Coastguard Rescue Team, Mallaig Lifeboat and the Coastguard search and rescue helicopters from Stornoway and Inverness were all sent to the scene along with Police Scotland.
The man was taken on board the lifeboat to Elgol Pier.
Police Scotland confirmed that he had died after falling while walking in the area.
“His next of kin are aware. Emergency services attended in the Camasunary Bay area after the incident was reported shortly before midday,” said a spokesman.
