A 55 year-old man and a 68 year-old woman are in a serious condition following a crash in the Highlands.
Two casualties have been taken to Raigmore Hospital following the accident; with the male casualty taken by road ambulance and the female casualty airlifted by air ambulance.
A spokesman from the ambulance service said: “We received a call at 1.07pm today to attend a road traffic collision on the A835 in Ullapool.
“We dispatched an air ambulance and one ambulance to the scene.
“One patient was transported by road to Raigmore Hospital and one patient was airlifted.”
A police spokesman confirmed both casualties were transported to hospital and remained in a serious condition.
The A835 remains closed as emergency services continue to deal with the incident which occurred near Ullapool.
Fire fighters from Ullapool and Scourie were also dispatched to the scene alongside officers from the police.
