A 72-year-old woman has sustained serious injuries after a two-car crash on the A9.
The collision between a red Ford Focus and a silver Toyot Hilux happened near Dalwhinnie at 5.30pm yesterday.
The 72-year-old female driver of the Ford Focus was flown to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The passenger from the Ford Focus and the driver of the Toyota Hilux were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with less serious injuries.
The road was closed for seven hours until 12.30am to allow for a collision investigation to be carried out at the scene.
Sergeant Chris Murray, of the road policing unit, said “Our inquiries are ongoing and I would appeal for anyone who saw these vehicles prior to the collision and who have not already spoken with officers to come forward.”
