Snowsports enthusiasts have snapped up early-bird passes for the 2018/19 season at the CairnGorm Mountain in record time.
Ticket sales have almost quadrupled compared to figures recorded in 2016 with the number of season tickets sold this year already exceeding 2017 figures.
Janette Jansson, general manager at CairnGorm Mountain said: “We are absolutely delighted that consumer confidence in CairnGorm Mountain is so high. We had a great season with snowsports enthusiasts enjoying some fantastic conditions from the end of 2017, right through until the end of April this year.
“It’s really encouraging that so many people have already purchased season tickets in anticipation of the coming winter season. We operate an early bird system and it really does save people money if they purchase season tickets before the end of the summer.”
Technological advances are being explored by the ski centre with a brand new website commissioned on the back of a successful CairnGorm Mointain mobile app, which promises improved functionality.
Janette Jansson continued: “We are looking forward to launching our new website, which is undergoing thorough testing at the moment. The website will be much more user friendly and the ability to book in advance and print tickets at the Day Lodge and base station should also mean that visitors can get out on the slopes much quicker.”
Prices of season passes currently sit at £275 for adults with the price increasing by £25 each month.
