Scottish singer-songwriter Roddy Woomble is making his way out west to headline the Hebridean Celtic Festival for the third time.
Mr Woomble, who has lived on Mull since 2008, will hit the stage at the award-winning Stornoway festival next month as part of his solo tour.
He said: “I love the Outer Hebrides. Having a festival there is great. I enjoy the size of the event and the staff and the crowd are friendly. It’s hard to fault.
“HebCelt is a great festival in a lovely town on a unique island. Both times I’ve played I’ve turned the journey into a holiday, hanging out for a while in Lewis and Harris. The weather was nice the first time too. Bonus.
“And the black pudding – excellent – and Stornoway has some great charity shops.”
Mr Woomble said he loves travelling, which helps to fuel his imagination when it comes to putting on a show.
Being on the road offers a constant source of inspiration for Mr Woomble, who grew up in America, France and the UK, and has lived in Glasgow and New York.
“I like travelling and sitting in cafes with a notebook. Also, being in love is an inspiration.”
