A Wick householder has faced the music after a complaint about the late night noise he was making.
Police Scotland said officers had forced their way into the house in the town’s Kinnaird Street early on Thursday and seized a stereo system.
A police spokesman said: “A 22-year-old man was issued with a recorded police warning and a stereo system was seized from the property, which will held by police for 28 days.
“Officers had previously attended at the same property in relation to excessive noise shortly before midnight on Thursday during a routine patrol.”
