Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious two-vehicle collision on the A835 near Garve last night.
The incident happened shortly after 6.25pm yesterday were a blue Volkswagen Bora and a green/white Peugeot Boxer van collided outside Tarvie.
The 21-year-old man driving the Volkswagen was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to serious injuries.
A female passenger from the car was also treated at Raigmore and has since been released, while the male driver of the Peugeot van was assessed at the scene and did not require further treatment.
The road was closed for a investigation to take place at the scene and reopened around 2.30am.
Constable Calum Macaulay said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances and we have already spoken to a number of witnesses.
