A male cyclist suffered serious injuries after being knocked down by a car on a Highland road earlier today.
The collision happened on the A832 Black Isle road, just east of Muir of Ord by Blair of Tarradale, shortly before 12.20pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said that an ambulance attended the scene and the man was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness initially before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with “serious” injuries.
The road remained closed for some time throughout the afternoon.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We received a call at 12.17pm on June 26 about a road traffic accident on the A832. We sent one crew and a Basics GP. A 50-year-old male was conveyed to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.’
