Police have named a driver who died following a road accident in the Highlands on Sunday as 21-year-old Lachlan Tom Brown.
Mr Brown, who was from the Killen area of the Black Isle, was the driver of a blue Volkswagen Bora car which was involved in a collision with a green/white Peugeot Boxer van on the A835 west of Tarvie.
It happened shortly after 6.25pm on Sunday.
Mr Brown was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died on Monday evening.
A female passenger from the car was also treated at Raigmore and has since been released, while the male driver of the Peugeot van was assessed at the scene and did not require further treatment.
Road policing sergeant Gregor Hay said: “Our thoughts are with Lachlan’s family and friends at this very sad time.
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened in this tragic incident and I would ask anyone who has information which has not yet been passed to police to make contact.”
