The incident happened on Tarradale Road in Muir of Ord around 12.20pm yesterday. A 37-year-old male cyclist, who was riding a red coloured Trek bicycle, suffered serious injuries in the incident. These injuries are not thought to be life-threatening although he was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Road policing sergeant Donnie Mackinnon said: “Our initial enquiries have established that no other vehicles were involved in this incident. “We have already spoken to witnesses who were in the area at the time, including the driver of a vehicle who was nearby when the incident happened. “We are working to establish the full circumstances and would ask anyone who witnessed the incident but has not yet spoken to officers to call 101.”
