A week of carnage on Highland roads started last Sunday with a two vehicle crash on the Contin to Garve road involving a car and a van.
Though the van driver was unharmed both occupants of the car were taken to Raigmore having been cut free by the fire service.
On Monday, Police Scotland confirmed 21 year old driver, Lachlan Brown, died from his injuries.
Earlier the same an unnamed 85-year-old woman died after her car left the A862 near Beauly around 4.30pm.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident which is understood to have been related to a medical condition.
A cyclist was badly injured on Tuesday outside of Muir of Ord and later transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The same day there was a collision between a motorcyclist and a car between Armadale and Bettyhill.
The motorcyclist was taken to Raigmore with his injuries described by police as serious but not life-threatening.
On Wednesday 73 year old Margaret Macbeath died in a three car pile-up near Evanton on the A9.
And on Thursday morning there was a second incident involving a bicycle outside Muir of Ord – this colliding with a van.
The rider was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the road was closed for around three hours.
