A man has died following a quad bike accident in Argyll.
The tragedy took place on a farm near Ardfern between Oban and Lochgilphead yesterday morning.
It is understood that the man was out gathering sheep at the time.
A spokeswoman for the police said: “At around 7.50am on Sunday police received a report of a 76-year-old man who had died following a quad bike accident at a farm near Lochgilphead.
“Emergency services attended however the man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We received a call at 7.42am to attend an incident at Turnalt Farm, Lochgilphead. We dispatched two ambulance crews to the scene.”
