Firefighters have been tackling the flames in a forest in Moray
Dozens of firefighters from across the Highlands have flocked to Alness to tackle a wildfire at Coulhill Woods.
The fire service received reports of the large scale fire at 10.23am, which has so far engulfed 1,000 square meters of heather and several mature pine trees.
A number of appliances have been dispatched to the scene – travelling from Invergordon, Balintore and Dingwall – alongside a water carrier and a wildfire unit from Inverness.
Firefighters remain at the scene, dousing the blaze in water and using beaters to bring the fire under control.
