Helima Abdulla Massabo, 51, from Glasgow, was a passenger in a car which was involved in a collision with a lorry near Dalnaspidal at 3pm. The 57-year-old male driver of the car was airlifted to hospital for treatment. The lorry was driver was uninjured. Police said inquiries into the accident were continuing and in a statement about Ms Massabo, added: “Our thoughts are with her family and friends.” The northbound and southbound carriageways were both closed for some time to allow investigations surrounding the collision to be carried out. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
