A sex beast who drugged his two victims – including one at a flat in Oban – before brutally raping them has been jailed for 12 years.
George Cummings, 55, from Glasgow, boasted to his victim in Oban that he looked like celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and told her he wanted a threesome with her and a 10-year-old girl.
After drinking wine poured by Cummings the woman, who was wearing black trousers, a black tunic top and boots, had no memory until she woke up at 3am dressed in a red dress and shoes.
She said: “I knew I had been drugged with something.”
Cummings was convicted at the High Court in Glasgow of raping a 47-year-old woman in a flat in Langbank on September 22, 1992, and raping a 50-year-old woman in a flat in Oban on January 6, 2016.
His crimes were committed 23 years apart but were chillingly similar.
Judge Johanna Johnston QC yesterday jailed Cummings and ordered that he is supervised for two years on his release.
She said: “The complainers spoke to a pattern of conduct by you that bore clear similarities. Each woman was drugged and detained against their will and isolated.”
She said this allowed him to “perform violent sexual offences” on them and “humiliate and degrade them”.
Cummings will be on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
In evidence, the 50-year-old terrified mother told of how Cummings visited her Oban home after they hooked up on Plenty of Fish.
She said: “He told me people said he looked a lot like Gordon Ramsay. When I saw him in the flesh I thought ‘what have I done’.”
At the flat, she said: “I told him I was worried something bad was going to happen and I felt vulnerable and he said he said ‘that’s okay I like my women vulnerable’.”
The woman said Cummings, who has previous convictions dating back to 1979, offered to set her up as a prostitute.
Cummings’ first victim told how she had her soft drinks spiked first with amphetamine at a bar and then with cocaine in Cummings’ flat in Langbank.
He then raped her in the flat.
The jury heard that during the attack Cummings ripped out handfuls of the woman’s hair and threatened to turn her into a prostitute. She also woke up to find at one point to find most of her clothing had been removed.
In evidence Cummings, who described himself as a self-employed buyer of commodities and vehicles, accused both victims of being liars.
