The blue Vauxhall Estate was near Inverness Rowing Club, located along the canal from the Tomnahurich Bridge when the tree toppled over. The incident occurred shortly after 7pm, with no-one reported to have been hurt as a result. The fire service received the call but did not attend; however officers from Inverness remain at the scene.
