A motorcyclist who died following a devastating collision with a car in the Highlands has been named.
James Stead, 50, from Evanton suffered fatal injuries after his black Triumph motorcycle collided with a Ford Fiesta on the A835 around 2.35pm yesterday.
Police and paramedics raced to the scene of the crash, with the road remaining closed for some time.
No-one else was injured as a result of the crash.
A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anybody with information who has not yet spoken to an officer is asked to the Road Policing Unit in Dingwall on 101.”
