Walker dies after following near the summit of a Munro at Glencoe

A walker in his 20s has died after falling near the summit of a 3,261ft Munro mountain at Glencoe.
Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team and the Inverness-based Coastguard search rescue helicopter were called to Sgor na h-Ulaidh after the alarm was raised by his companion at 3.11pm yesterday.
The companion suffered minor injuries and was airlifted off the peak and then taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William by ambulance. His condition is not known.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A male in his 20s unfortunately died in an incident at Glencoe.”
The procurator fiscal will be informed as procedure.
A spokeswoman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirmed its helicopter from Inverness was on training when it was contacted at 3.15pm and diverted to the scene to assist.
