Approximately two tonnes of copper/nickel cable covered in a plastic coating were recovered by officers in the Pitgrudy area on Monday. The metal is believed to be MC sensor cable, most commonly used in the oil and gas industry. Sergeant Matt Ravenhill said: “We are seeking to identify where the cable which has been recovered has come from. “I would ask anyone with information which could help us to make contact. “You can call Police Scotland on 101 or you can pass information on anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
