The two car collision occurred on the new northbound section of dual carriageway at Kincraig, near the B9152 junction between Kingussie and Aviemore. Its believed one of the vehicles collided into the back of the other, after it broke down on the carriageway. Police received the call at 3.30pm and were joined by paramedics at the scene. Motorists heading north were left in tailbacks stretching for miles as emergency services continued to clear the scene. The young casualty was taken to Raigmore Hospital for further treatment with what is believed to be slight facial injuries. His condition remains unknown.
