Boat-lovers have descended in droves to witness one of the biggest yachts to visit the Muirtown Basin in Inverness this summer.
The luxury yacht from Majorca has made camp on the banks of the Caledonian Canal as part of a four-week tour of Scotland.
The 124-foot Barbados-registered vessel, named Monaco, arrived at Muirtown Basin on Tuesday after travelling the length of the canal.
The massive yacht – owned by a group of wealthy international businessmen – initially left its Spanish homeland to journey towards Greenock before sailing through the inner isles towards Fort William.
The vessel travelled north before mooring in the Highland Capital.
The group of businessman are to remain in the city for a few more days before continuing their journey and up through the islands.
A spokeswoman from Caledonian Canals said: “We’re delighted to welcome a wide range of vessels from all over the world to the Caledonian Canal, one of Scotland’s most majestic inland waterways.
“We are keen that as many people as possible get to enjoy the history of this scheduled monument, its wildlife, breath-taking scenery and, of course, the warm Highland welcome visitors find when they get here.”
The 36-year-old yacht was built in 1982 by Dutch shipyards Feadship, showcasing a stylish design both inside and out. The vessel features accommodation for eight guests across four rooms including a master suite, one VIP stateroom and two twin cabins.
The vessel’s luxurious interior was created by Terence Disdale, meanwhile the lavish and impressive exterior was constructed by architect De Voogt.
