Members of the public have just less than four weeks to make comment on the next Cairngorms Nature Action Plan.
The current consultation will end on Friday, September 14, with members of the public invited to register their views on the draft action plan before that date, with the plan set to be carried out between 2018 and 2023.
The plan was initially launched in May 2013 and has successfully brought people together to drive forward conservation projects in the national park.
The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) have set out their priorities and focuses for the work of its partners, with their key elements being landscape scale conservation, focused action for priority species and ensuring the involvement of members of the community.
Much of the five year plan will be focused at creating more habitats suitable for breeding waders and ensuring the moorlands and natural woodlands are better sustained.
At present just shy of 1,200 species are believed to call the Cairngorms National Park home, with much of the plan’s ambitions aimed at sustaining the presence of these animals.
A draft version of the suggested new Action Plan is available at the CNPA offices in Grantown and Ballater, with libraries and council offices throughout the park also displaying the document.
