A male motorist was left trapped in his van this morning after it crashed onto its side on Skye.
The Volkswagen Crafter Van was travelling along the A863, around five miles east of the Sligachan Hotel, when it collapsed onto its side just after 8am.
The fire service were first notified of the incident following a 999 call at 8.01am, dispatching two appliances to the scene; travelling Portree and Dunvegan.
Police were also notified of the accident at 8.05am following a call from the Scottish Ambulance service.
The male casualty has been taken by paramedics to Broadford Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The road was left partially blocked as a result of the crash.
