Overnight roadworks begin this week on a section of the A83 Tarbet to Campbeltown road in Argyll.
The work will see teams resurface a section of the A83 on approach to the Ardrishaig Swing Bridge.
The project is set to take place over one night on Wednesday September 19, starting at 8pm.
A 10mph convoy system will be in place for the first hour of the operations.
From 9pm, an overnight road closure will be in place for safety while resurfacing is carried out, because the operation will block the single carriageway across the Ardrishaig Swing Bridge.
Vehicles will be stacked on each approach to the site and escorted through at approximately one-hour intervals, or when it is safe to do so.
Emergency services will be able to pass through the works at all times.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative, said: “These works will greatly improve the road surface on this section of the A83 through Ardrishaig, creating a safer and smoother journey for motorists.
“We’ve planned the works to take place overnight for safety reasons due to the narrowness of the road, but it also helps to minimise disruption to road users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the improvements as quickly and safely as they can.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
