A woman has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a van at Oban ferry terminal.
An area of the Railway Pier where a blue Menzies van is parked as been cordoned off by police.
A police spokeswoman said: “Emergency services were called to the CalMac Railway Pier in Oban at 7.25am after a woman was struck by a van. She was taken to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban.”
The woman was later taken by Coastguard helicopter to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We received a call at 7.21am to attend an incident in Oban.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one patient in their 40s to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban.”
Ferries were not disrupted as a result of the incident. The Mull ferry was moved to berth two.
