A9 closed after accident involving car pulling a horse box
ByScott MacLennan
A second two-vehicle collision saw the A9 closed once again, this time about four miles north of Evanton.
A Police Scotland spokesman reported that one of the cars was pulling a horse box and that no serious injuries were reported describing those in the cars as “walking wounded”.
It is understood that the animal also came out of the crash largely unharmed.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that “all lanes were restricted in both directions for up to 30 minutes” and long tailbacks were forming on either side of the incident.
Police units remained at the scene mostly dealing with traffic in the area as the owners were able to arrange for the recovery of their own vehicles.
The fire service was not called to deal with the incident.
