Police are appealing for information following a break-in at a hotel near Aviemore.
The incident happened at the Rowan Tree Country Hotel at Loch Alvie in the early hours of Wednesday.
Entry was gained to the hotel and items, including a quantity of cash were stolen from inside.
Police said the stolen items are worth a mid three-figure sum.
Constable Lewis Macleod said: “We would like to ask members of the public to contact police if they saw anything suspicious around the time of the break-in by calling Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference NM2800/18 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you have any information.”
