A voluntary group in Fort William are down to the final three for one of Scotland’s most coveted community-enterprise awards.
Fort William High Street has been shortlisted in the 2018 SURF – Scotland’s Regeneration Forum awards in the Scotland’s Most Improved Place category.
Former winners were the Oban Phoenix Cinema in Oban.
A spokeswoman for Fort William Town Team, who organise the work that goes on in the town centre, said: “Everyone has worked so hard to improve Fort William for us to be able to enter, but we have more work to do before the judging visit.
“Please, please help us by giving a little of your time when we put a shout out for volunteers over the next few weeks.”
The town team are in the top three along with: Dundee Central Waterfront and Westray Development Trust (Orkney).
The next stage of judging will be a site visit by an independent judging panel of experts, with the results being announced on December 6 at a ceremony Glasgow.
