An Oban man is to take part in a new television series which will see some of the best chefs in the world compete against each other.
Graham Campbell, chef/director of Castlehill Restaurant in Dundee, will star in online entertainment streaming site Netflix’s The Final Table.
The show, launching on November 20, brings 24 of the best chefs in the world together, competing by cooking dishes from nine different countries.
After each round, they are then judged by culinary legends from across the globe.
The winner at the end of the series is then given a spot at the elite “final table” with the world’s greatest chefs.
Having begun working at Dundee’s Exchange Street eatery three years ago, the kitchen star has become one of Britain’s top chefs.
At just 25, he became the youngest ever Scottish chef to be awarded a Michelin star.
Mr Campbell, who is the only Scot to appear on the show, said the creative challenges tested his skills to the limit.
He said: “Each episode focuses on a different country and its cuisine, with celebrity ambassadors, food critics and the country in question’s greatest chef eliminating teams until the finale.
“I’m paired with top New York chef Aaron Bludorn and in the first episode, which features Mexican food, we’re challenged to cook cactus. That certainly tests our culinary skills and imagination.
“The Final Table takes television cookery contests to a whole new level of competitiveness, excitement and gastronomy.

“To sit with the world’s greatest chefs is a prize without price. It’s every chef’s dream.”
The appearance is not his first foray into television.
In 2015, he starred in the BBC’s Great British Menu, in which British chefs originating from various regions across the UK compete to produce the best menu.
Mr Campbell added: “Obviously, I can’t reveal the final results but I’m very happy with my performance.”
Netflix is the world’s leading entertainment service with the show available to over 130 million subscribers in 190 different countries.
