A Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was earlier today assisting in an incident south of Aviemore, where a kayaker is believed to have found themselves in difficulty.
The incident took place shortly before 2pm in the Inverdruie area and was attended by two ambulances and the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter.
Police were also made aware of the incident.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 1358 and sent two ambulances and the Search and Rescue helicopter.
“A male who is approximately 62 years old is being flown to Raigmore hospital in Inverness.”
The severity of the man’s injuries are at this time unknown.
